Putting on a full-face mask under time pressure, with smoke in the room, is something you need to have done at least once. At the same time, you do not want to pull the intervention mask out of its sealed box for every drill and then have to check it afterwards.
This box makes that distinction hard and fast: a separate training mask with disinfecting wipes, on the wall, available for every first-aid drill. The intervention mask stays unused until it is really needed.
