Cooling, and keeping on cooling

Extinguishing does not stop a thermal runaway, cooling does, and cooling has to be kept up. As long as a battery stays warm it can reignite hours later. Immersion is therefore the recognised way to prevent reignition, not extinguishing once and walking away.

The tub runs on wheels, so it can be brought to the battery instead of the other way around. For a workshop or storage room, that is the difference between equipment you use and equipment that sits in the way.
